In a bizarre crossover event that defies usual expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of banned ceremonies and monstrous changes echo through the shadows." The storyline presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.

The mission focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Extra Features

Players who finish the quest will acquire an special katana together with multiple objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
